radiator conversion

I have a 97 expy eb with a rebuilt 5.4.
I have zero pressure in my cooling system and my front
Heater goes between cold n luke warm. I discovered
2 leaks one on lower water pump hose around the hose
Clamp and the top right corner of my radiator.
Now I hate plastic tank radiators and was wondering
If anyone has converted to an older copper radiator say
Out of a 84 bronco. I would prefer not to buy another plastic tank radiator if I don't have to. So any thoughts?
