Rear end shutter

I have a 2001 Ford Expedition, 4wd, 5.4. My problem feels like taking off from a dead stop the rear end feels like it shakes, the harder you take off the harder it shutters. It has a 3.55 limited slip gear.

Could it be the transmission slipping? If you put it in 2 and start off in 2nd does it still do it?

It's not the transmission, it's coming from the rear end.

Have you checked the u-joints in the driveshaft?

Straight take offs, or around corners? The limited slip will shudder around corners at times.

It shutters when taking off turning going forward and it reverse.

Sorry, but those are your clutch packs in the rear-end. Has the gear oil been changed? If so, did you add the friction modifier? Have you checked the gear oil level?
