While driving on interstate at 70mph, had to brake hard and slow down to approx. 45mph to avoid hitting an idiot in a car. When I got back on the gas to accelerate I thought someone hit me in the back, it felt just like that. But that was not the case. Could this possibly be a violent downshift in the tranny or the torque converter locking up? I had been on the road for hours as I was driving from Atlanta to Dayton, OH and this occurred near Cincy. So the tranny was up to operating temp. I have felt a small "bump" before during shifts and/or torque converter lockup but never this violent. Anyone else felt this?
No more trouble on the way back and I was towing a car on a trailer, but only for the trip home.
