I have a 2013 limited with 89000 miles should i need to replace the front struts already?
They're not struts in the Expedition. They are regular shocks inside coil springs. They are not a service item which means there is no recommended service interval. Those who sell them of course recommend regular replacement, however Ford does not. If they leak or no longer dampen road shocks they should be changed.
Bilstein shocks, as Hardman suggests are excellent replacement.
I have a 2012 Expedition. The struts/shocks began to leak at 24,000. A few hundred miles out of warranty. Having always used the dealership to perform my maintenance, I called Ford after hearing a repair bill in the thousands. What? The windshield wipers lasted longer. Ford, stepped up to the plate, and provided me with resolve and shared solution of responsibility. I will never buy another car, other than a Ford. I still have that Expedition, and many other Fords sitting in my garages. Thank you, Ford.
