Have had my 06 for 3 years now, got it at 130 k miles.
Been plagued with poor mileage from the get-go and occasional coil failures as well as misfiring under heavy load or hard acceleration such as in a passing situation.

Summit racing was selling a set of 8 MSD coils for $162 and change, shipping included.

peppy little beast now, no stutter when passing and gas mileage up about 1-1/2 mpg, about 10%. Coils will pay for themselves within a year at this rate. If they hold up, well worth it.

Just curious, were these the Street Fire or Blaster coils?

street fire. I had replaced 2 of the old ones when they had failed completely, and 2 others had been replaced before (by a government "mechanic". Decided replacing one at a time wasn't worth it.

Yea, if you're going to do one, might as well do them all. Save time and money in the long run. Thanks for the info.

I forgot to ask, how long have you had them on now? I noticed you said you've seen an increase in MPG.

A pretty significant one. About 10%. 3 tanks full, about 1000 miles. Checked against last year at this time, so not due to warming weather. Driving has been the same routine.
