Sync USB hub issue?

Hi guys! Long time Expy owner (2007 EB for 11 years/Recently bought 2018 Limited) new to forum! Besides already being in the shop for something rear suspension related, I noticed my Sync USB hub intermittently disconnects/reconnects. Tried both ports and both phone with cable and USB sticks.
Assuming I need a new hub, has anyone replaced theirs? Wondering how straightforward to swap. Or am I possibly missing the big picture and should assume it’s a different issue?
Really want to upgrade to 3.4 (and slightly hesitant as I’ve never done anything like this) and don’t want buggy ports causing issues.

In case this happens to anyone else, looks like the part number is HC3Z-19A387-D. I’ll be ordering this week, switching out, and testing. I’ll update if this fixes the issue or not. Then on to Cyanlabs 3.4 upgrade.
