Temporarily shutting off the loud warning alerts when backing a trailer?

In my previous 2011 F150 screw i could hit the "OK" button on the four way steering wheel switch to disable the alert beeps/sound when pulling in the garage, backing up with my small utility trailer, etc. I've poured over the manual but I haven't found any way to disable the sound. I'm not looking to permantly disable the warnings but it gets annoying when I have to back the trailer with the Expy screaming in my ear.

I'm sure it's something simple I've missed but with my luck it will be a nine step process every time I want to cut the sound. If I was to program and set up the trailer would that eliminate the noise?

Are you plugging in the trailer lights? I think that is the criteria used to disable the backup proximity sensors.

That's the one... If my trailer is connected, rear sensors/cross traffic alerts are disabled, but, I hit that guy when hooking up with just hitch assembly in or when just bike rack is on. [emoji106]

Yep, I pushed/tried every button but that one. I guessed that since it was on the wheel of my last F-one fiddy it would also be on the Expedition's steering wheel...
