Hi all, I sold my expedition yesterday. I really want to thank the many people who have helped me with the multitude of problems that my car encountered in the short time that I owned it (I am sure that I had a lemon). However, the facts are facts. This car ended up costing me average of $300/ month to maintain.......... that is just sad. I purchased a honda pilot, out of frustration. I know that expy has WAY more uses, but I simply would not allow myself to throw away money fixing one problem after another......... thanks again to all the cool people I met here :favorites25:

I totally understand and feel your pain.

Perhaps you can stop by and say howdy on occasion.

You don't have to leave cause you don't own a expy anymore.. I traded mine about 5 months ago for my 300zx... Doesn't mean I have to leave.. I still help out with tech questions, just from my experience with mine...

Plus there are alot of cool people here..

SO you pawned your lemon off on someone else? Did you disclose this or give a huge discount? I expect we will have a new member soon :) Best of luck

I sold it to carmax who did their own inspection. I would never in good concience sell private party that piece of junk. Their inspection turned up the engine problem (blown plug or worse); smoke from exhaust (coolant mixing in combustion); and various cosmetic flaws. They offered me $700, and I think it was good. What they do with the car after that is on them.
