Hello everyone,

Long time surfer, first time posting. The door locks in my 2002 Expy XLT weren't functioning correctly with the exception of the driver side. Took the truck to a local junkyard and paid $75 apiece to have them replaced. 5 hours later (I sat there and watched as the locks were replaced) my truck is given back to me...in the SAME condition. Locks don't budge! I was told that I have to drive the truck to give the computer time to kick in. I have a strong gut feeling it's ********. I'd like to know how true this is before I go back to raise hell.

Thanks in advance for your help.

From what I hear there is a Bridge up for sale in your area. Cheap. Are you interested??

All kidding aside

All door locks are inoperative from one switch
Circuitry.
Door lock control switch.
GO to Pinpoint Test A .

All door locks are inoperative
Battery junction box (BJB) fuse 8 (15A).
Circuitry.
Central security module.
GO to Pinpoint Test B .

The locks are controlled thru the Central Security Module

There could be many different causes for the locks not to operate. Power, Fuses,
Ground connections or even a bad switch.

Does the locks work when you use the switches on the arm rests? when you use the remote?

What lock/s work and what switch or remote cause's them to operate?

Welcome to the site.
Did you ask them to fix the problem or to replace the locks? If you asked for them to be replaced, they did as you asked.
The driving around for them to work is bs.

If the lock solenoid makes a sound when you press the lock/unlock button, try spraying the mechanism inside with WD 40 it might just be stuck. No need to wreck havoc, just charge it to experience.
