Hey guys i belive i posted this on someone elses thread but i didnt get much response. Every once and a while when i drive my truck and come to a stop the truck slowly starts to shake and the lights start to dim, the rpms drop like its about to stall. I dont know too much about vehicle mechanics so i dont know what it is that is causing it. All i know is if its something to do with an engine part or alternator then its still covere under my lease warranty. Any input would be nice, thanks guys.

if you have a hole in the hose... replace it with 2 small hose clamps and some heavy duty 1/2" air hose... thats what I did.... been holding for 1.5 years...lol

Agree w/ all above. If alternator/voltage reg module is going, you may have similar probs as well as gauges eratically moving left/right and of course dimming lights. Any chance your drive belt could be loose and your alternator isn't charging the battery correctly?

Sounds like a Iac (idle air control valve) I think that they put them on modular v8's (i could be wrong). anyways you just pull it off and spray the crap out of it with carb cleaner. I used to have a explorer that would dp exactly what you described, i had to clean it like every 20,000 miles

also try cleaning your Maf sensor, or even better replace it

Guide for doing it on a 5.4 (they are pretty much the same on any vehicle that has one)
