Yeah I've tried a handful of cables, including the Google cable with USB A adapter, and it acts as if I never plugged anything in. The phone doesn't charge, and Sync doesn't even flinch. It used to work surprisingly well!

I haven't had any black screen issues, but I believe I've always unplugged my phone before exiting the vehicle... I'll have to check with my wife since she drives it the most, but to my knowledge she hasn't complained haha.

Check fuses. Pretty sure the LED and the actual ports are on different leads, and different fuses.

There is also a voltage regulator built in to the ports component so that part might need to be replaced...

I guess I'll find out when I try to insert the USB for update! Fingers crossed it's a sync glitch... I really don't wanna deal with the dealer at the moment! Thanks!

interesting, I wonder then if the ports have become disconnected, the LED's that light up the ports are likely a separate connection in general. you could carefully test using a cable and voltmeter, and look for 5V using this pinout.

My guess is one end of that may have come loose somewhere.

Jace - It's sounding like a hardware issue. If your '19 is still under warranty and you haven't resolved this issue you may want to consider a service visit with a Ford store you trust before upgrading. That's just my 2¢

That is definitely a possibility! Hard to imagine them coming loose with 6k on the clock but anything is possible haha.

Yeah I think that's gonna be my next step. I tried getting the system to recognize the update USB drive and nothing happened unfortunately

Version 20237 is out but it says untested. Just curious if anyone has updated to this version? I just loaded up the version and will try it later. Hopefully I don't brick it lmao.

Yeah, using it. Honestly I do not endorse it at this time.

Oh snap! Details pls...lol

HaHa. To use a non-technical term...it is goofy. Nothing I can put my finger on yet.

Also honestly haven't been on a longer drive with it yet...will this weekend. That is typically my litmus test for stability. Using CarPlay and many features for at least an hour in a row, and see how it handles it.

I've also been running it for about a week, so far no issues thankfully. Android Auto issues for me still persist, that is the call issues (no audio until you disconnect and bluetooth kicks in), but I haven't had the frozen screen issues yet. Hoping that's fixed. I'm on a pixel 3 with android 11 fwiw. For some reason I do feel like the screen/background contrast seems a little better for me.

I did the update to 20237 and I do not notice any specific issues at this time. No changes to UI. Perhaps just me, however I may have noticed the screen switching is a bit snappier.

How do I get that big icon on the radio UI (like when in Sirius) to display something other than the music note? Is that a Forscan thing?

Just updated from 20196 direct to 20282 (skipped 20237.) No driving time yet, but it's definitely faster/snappier switching screens and even the initial load time.

It also fixed my previously mentioned issue of the physical seek button on the dash advancing 2 tracks at a time, when the steering wheel and on screen button worked properly w/ 1 track at a time. This fix is noted by Cyanlabs, which is why I jumped at the update.

I don't remember what version I just upgraded to (237 or 282), but it reset everything. I had to re-pair my phone, re-set up my wifi. All radio stations are gone.

I used the new Cyan Labs process/application. It seems to all be working fine otherwise. No issues. ONly drove one since and CarPlay worked fine. Menus seemed to be a little less laggy.

I can't remember what version I upgraded from )maybe 19274), but it was painless and took about 10 minutes total.

I upgraded this morning from 20237 to 20282. So far, loads faster at startup and switching between apps/screens is faster. No more random black screen with CarPlay. “So far”

Waze froze up on me twice today while using via CarPlay on 20282. After 3-4 mins of it thinking I was stationary it started working again on its own. This version doesn't have the long black screen at startup like 20237 did.
