First off trash the meter and get another if it isn't reading correctly. Test dc volts on a known good source.

I'll post the starting/charging diagrams tonight. Do you understand how to read wiring diagrams? Check fuel pressure when jumping the solenoid to see if the pump is supplying fuel.

Going to assume it was running prior to the gem change. If so logic states something changed during the swap, go back over the connections in the area of the gem, especially the steering column.

See the sticky above in the Electrical section on what the GEM controls.

Check fuse 21 per attached diagram.

I'm waiting on the op's reply if he ever comes back on, but this is a good example of what would set bedrck46 off. Check the time stamps of the first few posts.

A new member will post a question and not get back for days if they do come back at all.

Yes, as has been posted in the past - we are old. To the young un's - we are antiques and "should be put out to pasture". To us - our time is now really limited since we can kick it at any second without notice. And we would really rather not waste it if the op's don't check back in.

Another reason to get back promptly - our memory isn't what it used to be, after 24hrs I have to re read the thread since I usually don't remember what the original problem was.
