Just in time for winter, my heat stopped working. I need some help. So here is what is going on.
I get heat, just no air flow. When i adjust the knob it doesnt make the air come out any faster. I know it isnt the heater core because i still get heat. Is there a fuse or relay for the blower motor? Has anyone in here changed a blower motor and can help get me started? Thanks for the help guys, i got to get heat to my kids and wife asap.

Check to make sure it isn't something simple like the blower motor resistor first. I had a Trailblazer that went through 4 of those. They took about 10 minutes to replace and cost about $18. Hole lot cheaper than throwing money at a whole blower motor.

With mine, the symptoms were usually losing the highest fan speed setting, then the next to highest and so on until there was no fan.

99 expy 5.4 heater line reaplcement

So I am in the middle of replacing the passenger side head due to spark plug issue. Being damaged and insert coming out. So for 600 bucks in parts decided to do the replacement.

After removing the intake I also see the metal line down there rusty. Well no one local has it and I have to get this thing back up and running.

So after looking at this I dont see any reason it could not be replaced with regular heater hose. Wrap the heater hose in wire loom for protection, use a splice for the line to line connection at the rear of the passenger head a coupl of hose clamps and call it a day. Any reason why this could not be done?

If so why then could this not be done with the intake on?

Any ideas?

Flame suit on.

So......the problem is still with me. I have changed the resistor (good), check my fuses and relay (good, good), ran a hot wire to my blower motor (good), and check my speed switch (good). I have no f'ing clue what is wrong with this thing. As of right now i have a hot wire running from my battery to my blower motor, so i have some heat. I just have to pop the hood when i get out and disconnect the wire. HELP!!!
