Why would anybody even consider a $75k expedition then. Our members on the 4th edition website act like their buying a peanut butter sandwich. I guess money is relative. If your making over 100k a year, have a spouse that's making same, house is paid for or close to it, then making $900.00 monthly pmts are no biggy! Maybe it's just me, but buying a car that's as much as a house 30 years back just doesn't sit well with me. Same reason I don't buy any new Snap on tools, just too rich for me these days. Thank goodness I already own the tools!

Unless your buying a collector car/truck, vehicles are by far the worst investment you can plunk your hard earned dollars on. Hell they lose $5 grand just rolling it off the dealers driveway! Eating/drinking at a fancy restaurant comes in a close second. Both gives us pleasure is why we keep doing it. But a $30,000 swing in price from sticker price is huge. When I got my low mileage 2000 expedition 3 1/2 years back, it felt like a new truck to me. Remember new memories in your vehicle can be the same with a new or 18 year old vehicle. New car smell deodorizer costs about $2.99 at Oreillys!

6E219581-B500-4348-BAC0-8FB890B99162.jpeg So I figured I started this thing I’ll update how things have been going. My 02 EB has 155,820 miles, has 16” COOPER discover at/3 tires that I keep at 42 psi, recently did a fluids change and filters replacement minus trans filter but that’s on its way. The only aftermarket parts on the truck are a set of air bags in the rear suspension to leave out trailers when towing and when I’m not towing it’s set at 25psi. Two weeks ago I reset my mpg to let it level back out. 90% of my driving is country with steep hills and a lot of curves. My average now is 12.2-12.4. I will soon start to replace battery, plugs, wires, starter,& alternator. Followed by exhaust system and air intake

John, never say never ! They said the same about Nixon way back when, but he got in! Then screwed up, and back out again. Remember his 1972 promise was to get us out of Vietnam, and through hook or I'm not a crook, he did. I turned 18 in 1973, so glad he kept that part of his word at least.

I'm going to quit whining about mine. Good googitty.

2002 5.4L averages 12.5. That's mostly city with 10-15 mile trips, but even on 4 hour trips, I only get 13-14.

You got to admit with Bill in office it wasn't dull! Democrats like to play. Clinton patterned himself after JFK, and we all know he couldn't keep it in his trousers! Remember Marilyn? Bobby had to make her go away!
