What glue to use on headliner repair?

On my Expy the original owner put in a Viper alarm with auto start and all that .. the ANTENNA he located, at the top center of the windshield. well guess what.. the headliner is drooping on both sides of that antenna.. The auto interior guy wants 450 to pull the old headliner out.. and install a new one ( well glue new fabric over my cardboard ).. I would be just peachy to glue the 2" back up which are hidden by the sun visors. Last time I made a total mess of thing using the wrong glue.. touching the wrong thing at the wrong time..
So thought's comments , suggestions ?

I would expect to use a commercial grade of adhesive. Search online particularly 3M for the adhesive. I used to source weather stripping adhesive from them.

Use 3M Super 77 spray adhesive and apply it to both surfaces and let it get tacky before attaching it. You only have one chance to get it right, so a practice dry fit is helpful.
