We have a 2019 that we don't drive very much because it is so thirsty around town.
The battery is starting to fail and I tried to get a solar panel and plug it into the cigarette lighter outlet but that does not seem to work -- apparently that outlet get's disconnected shortly after you turn off the engine. My plan is to connect a 12v extension directly to the battery (well, fused on positive side) and run it into the cab to use to connect the solar charger. Is there an accessible existing grommet through the firewall? I don't really want to drill any holes. TIA.
