Defiantly don't trust the dealership, I learned the hard way! Lucky for me I made a big enough deal about it so they installed the radiators and 7 pin at no cost to me! Good luck!

Also, you can identify the HD Tow Package pretty easily, the factory-installed 7-pin trailer connector is only present on Expeditions with the HD Tow Package. It's also included in the Limited and King Ranch trim levels, according to the 2012 brochure.
Would that go for the 2011 as well? I have the 7 pin connector, so do I have the HD tow package? thanks

No worky...
Says Application error?

I got that error if I didn’t put the vin in before clicking Ford. The entry box is poorly designed and easily missed. However you can add the VIN to the end of the URL on the error page and get the info.

What Dewey said. The factory fitted round Bargman connector is a dead giveaway the truck has the HD Tow package. The factory mounts it on the rear thru a hole to the right of the tow receiver (the 4-pole boat trailer connector is on the left), not suspended below the bumper as it would be aftermarket You can also crawl under and read the sticker on the bottom of the tow receiver and note the Class IV rating.

So deweysmith was nice enough to run my vin and it does have HD tow, but the FORD dealer that found this for me and was going to go and get it today states that it doesn't have HD tow according to the window sticker. This unit was built for a corporate fleet car in Canada and they sold it at auction back to the US because it brings more money here. Could that be the issue? Or is there a way to contact the dealer that is selling it to check and make sure it has the right tranny cooler and radiator? I am just worried they have some stupid off the wall package for these corporate fleet cars in Canada.
