Hey Everyone.

I just sold my lifted F150 last month and found a super clean 01 Expy. I am a member on many of the F150 forums and decided to move over here as well now that I have the Expy.

Just wanted to say Hey and share a stock pic of it.
I also am including a couple pics of my truck...stock and lifted.
This is to give you an idea of the way Im going with the look. I plan on lifting the expy just like I did my truck and use the exact same wheel/tire combo.
I will do all of my own work so the body lift will be in a few months. I dont have a shop and its pretty cold outside so I will wait for a warm stretch to come through before lifting.
but when I do, you guys will be the first to get pics.

Thanks guys,

Walnuts... you went from a baad ride to a baaaadaaass ride...lol
But I imagine a lot of wrench time was included to get to what it looks like today.

Very nice.

Oh also, With lifting the expy...what part number of daystars 2" coil spacers will I need for mine? or where to buy them?
On my F150 I just cranked up torsions, the rear had a block from the factory.
I have read that I crank front torsions on this one, but will need the spacers in rear.
Any comments or advice will be greatly appreciated.

spacers are found everywhere.... lol... mine are daystar 2" but many members are running ebay 2" or 3" spacers which are cheaper and just as reliable/quality as daystars... just my .02...

typical lift set ups for most expy members on here are 2" or 3" spacers with cranking the torsion bars and then a 3" body lift.... tires are usually around 35s with 315s seeming to fit that set up perfectly....

Walnuts,
Does your spacer bolt ontop of your coil or just sit sandwiched in between the top of the coil and tower.
Sorry for my ignorance, but I have not had a chance to get up under and check it out. I had an 04 F150 once that I bolted a set of daystars up under the front.

Reason I ask is that I see several cheap priced units that look as if they just sit up top and are held in by pressure. Im not against this type , if it works, it works.

Thanks

I can chime in here. The daystar rear spacers are just sandwiched up top. I take my truck out frequently and have flexed it like crazy and they haven't budged! (Spring compressors will really help when installing)

Thanks for the help.
Gonna purchase my lift right after Christmas and get to work.
Since its cold here now, I called 4wheel parts and inquired about thier labor to install the lift kit. He told me to supply the PA kit and labor would run $1450 out the door. Hahahaha

I am gonna make the decision to work out on the cold driveway and save a ton of cash.
I am planning on about $350 for PA 3" kit with gap guards and 2" coil spacers.

I will keep you all posted with pics and updates.

Ok guys,
Just want to update.

All parts paid for and on order and should arrive late next week. Then I will get started on install.
I will show pictures of the expy before and after and may even include some install photos to help others that are thinking of attempting it.
Here is my parts list.

1. PA 3" body lift
2. PA gap guards
3. 16x10 pacer LT wheels
4. 315 75 16 nitto mud grapplers
5. 2" coil spacers for rear.

All parts were less than $2200

Stay tuned for updates and pics ( two weeks out )
