What size screws did you use to mount the ballast to the frame?

I used 1/4 x 20 bolts.... you can also use 3/8 x 1"1/4" self tap screws Screw right to the upper part of the fame just behind the head lights... you should have enough room for them .. do a dry fit before you screw them in..

Thanks. I will be checking out the site. I am going on vacation Friday but returning a week ahead of the wife and kids. Have some "free daddy time!" Going to wire up the sub woofer to the aftermarket head unit, probably upgrade the door speakers, insulate the back area (I hope) and try and get headlights done.

This chart shows that 5K HIDs are the brightest of the 35 watt HIDs the 6K are bluer and not as bright.

Alot of the times to much brightness overwhelms the reflectors in the headlight, causing it to be a big bright light with little distance..

as already stated...just confirming...you dont need bi-xenon...i put 6000k in my head and fog lights...before i got my retrofit...im trying to pull pics of how i have mine hooked up...normally they give you brackets to hold the ballasts...at least the ones i ordered did and i zip tied them to make sure they stay in the brackets...the screwed the brackets to truck...i think to the support beam...pre-drilled the hole and secured with screws...photobucket isnt working properly at work

Yeah I am trying to prevent have the glowing orb that drives down the road. I want distance and clarity. Further research says the 6000K will probably be best for what I want. I am not big on the blue look in my headlights.

So it seems like 6000K in the heads/fogs. Then for the radio work and insulation. Boys and their toys man, boys and their toys.
