I used a small grinder on the add a fuse so it would fit in the fuse panel more securely.

There is a user on here that just recently posted some pics where they wired the rear camera through the existing harness conduit, it ended up looking pretty clean. The tricky part is the rear glass, since it opens you need to route the wire with the existing defrost cable to prevent a bunch of slack. I wish I could link that thread but I don’t remember where it was.

Here is mine setup. Main concern was high current for steering wheel heater and dash cam battery pack which charges at 9A and came with 20A fuse (20A + 20A). Because of the shape of fuse box I couldn't push the tap all the way down. Cannot say the connection was loose or flimsy, but just not full enough - which bothered me for some time. Finally I took the panels off and checked connections when both were at full power - temperature didn't go above 47C (ambient was ~17C). Considering I will use steering wheel heater mostly in winter - that should be good. Keep in mind that fuse tap orientation matters - fuses should be connected in parallel and not in series which could burn the bottom fuse in the fuse tap.

Excellent info on the dashcam install.
I am almost done but since I have dual cam (blackvue) i am bit confused on the rear camera mount. Since the rear lift gate extends up.
If anyone has a dual cam set up and can post some pics here it would be really helpful
I have BlackVue DR-900s-2ch. Was concerned regarding the length of the rear camera cable, but it worked perfectly fine - like they designed it for Expedition Max :) I removed A,B,C,D pillar trims on the passenger side, as well as third row top seatbelt mount to drop the headliner and put the cable along side with other cable harnesses, so it won’t interfere with airbags in any case. At the rear I followed the heater cables and put camera cable inside the rubber sleeve so I can open the glass and tailgate easily. Will attach photos in the next post.

What did you anchor the cable to the glass with, was that something supplied with the camera?

This camera is on my short list... any complaints on it?
Adhesive cable clips came with dashcam. It’s been over a year since I installed it, so far so good.
No real complains on the camera, but I don’t use cloud features, so cannot really speak for that. Other than that does what it supposed to do, install and forget :) I’m very happy about parking mode - records 5 seconds before triggered event by motion or/and G-sensor. Sensitivity of motion sensor is configurable. G-sensor is configurable for parking and normal modes separately.
I wish it had SD card encryption to protect privacy in case of somebody gets access to dashcam/card - but that’s not very common in the industry.

So, I ran all the cabling for the front dash cam. Came up with issues on running the rear cable.

I will be finalizing the front cam wiring tomorrow.

What fuses did everyone use? And are there any that should be avoided when the Auto Start Stop activates? I would hate for my camera to stop when ASS activates.

Thanks!
