oh boy, search for some posts from me. I've been through the ringer on these upgrades, i've essentially done about 3-4 full cat back systems now, swapping parts, probably 8 trips to my best exhaust shop for welds. Long story short, kind of screwed here. Real issue is that many aftermarket exhaust shops hate the EcoBoost as anything but stock ends up sound like a honda coffee can. I can attest, it's bad.
I've finally found a moderately good setup from front to back, using the following in order - SPD turbo adapters, SPD downpipes, SPD Stage2 Resonator, CGS muffler, and the smallest Corsa resonator available at the side exit tip. At idle, start, low power it's good, still a bit aggressive for a family hauler but its doable. However, under WOT or heavy throttle, this thing is stupid loud.
I've tried the corsa custom muffler (largest available 3" muffler) and that was worse than the CGS.
I tried the full CGS exhaust, was terrible till I added the SPD resonator and the Corsa resonator.
I tried a magnaflow cat back and had to pull it out in the first week. It literally shook the mirrors with cabin noise.
now, to be fair, my exhaust pro showed me a flyer for this, I didn't want to spend another $1500 or what ever it costs, but I suppose it could help. it's their new no-drone setup.

I think I still have the Corsa muffler if anyone wants it at my cost including shipping.
I've replaced exhaust systems including manifolds and adding turbo's to older vehicles, and never had anything sound this bad with aftermarket stuff. The funny thing, is that even the exhaust shop hates the factory parts too, says he has so many ecoboosts come in that need new mufflers because these motors blow out the packing material so often. But he always recommends replacing with OEM only. If I had it to do over again, I probably wouldn't have touched the exhaust, which really sucks, the SPD adpaters and pipes really made a noticeable difference.
