Interestingly, the SEMA build expedition looks to have the rear wheels centered despite the 2-ish inch lift. I wonder if it's just the placement of the flares? I don't see anything about modified rear control arms. I can't confirm from the pics.

Wonder if that's because it's got the icon vs. the 3/2 readylift. Also just had a thought...wonder if the ones that have done the bilstein shocks vs the 3/2 still have the same issue?

I'd say the solution is a set of fabbed adjustable control arms ($$$) or a lengthened set as mentioned. Seeing as there's a lack of aftermaket options for lifts for the 4th gen, my assumption is there isn't enough of a market out there. Most moms don't want their expo's lifted...
Yeah the first why quoted me around $800 to make 4 adjustable control arms. Not really money I wanna spend yet. The cheaper option would be to cut the current arms and sleeve them to make longer myself. Again, I’m pretty sure it would work. But I don’t wanna pay for new arms if it doesn’t… Anyone wanna be the guinea pig??

I have the bilsteins on mine and it has the problem still. I wouldn’t imagine the icon would make a difference either.

You’re spot on about the rear tire moving forward. I’ve seen some where it doesn’t look bad and others where it is really pronounced. Can’t figure out what it is that makes the difference.

Rear independent suspension??

Does anyone with the ReadyLift kit have trouble with the limited travel up front? I'm going to do a lift at some point in the future and am torn as to whether the $1k extra for Eibach fronts and Bilstein rears is worth it. I plan on running 295/70r18 on the stock fx4 wheel.

I'm doing the lift specifically to be able to do more trails here in AZ. I know that the reduced travel probably doesn't matter, but if I'm on a trail and there just happens to be a hill asking me to jump, I can't guarantee that I won't.

It's also 2wd, and has custom fenders. Not sure if that makes any difference.

Talk about “going for it”
Tire and wheel package from National Tire and Wheel. Third package I’ve ordered from them and they have been great to deal with.
Wheels are Fuel Blitz 18x9 +20
Tires are Falken Wildpeak 295 70 18
Readylift kit arrives tomorrow and dealer will install Wednesday.
Then I will bolt these up and see what trimming / adjusting it needs.
Hopefully no issues and last piece will be order a tuner. Not sure if off the shelf or 5Star.
Going on a 2019 Stealth short Expy.
I will share experience / details after it’s finished.
Amazing the different look when comparing the factory 22’s to the 18’s. While I personally like the look of the 22’s, these will be more suited to our familiar style (more rubber, slight stance).
Wheels and tires are on. I am holding on trimming the running boards. They don’t rub- but it’s close. Wife is stoked!
It is pretty aggressive in person.

Thoughts and observations after a few days with the readylift 3/2 and wheel And tire upgrade.
Wheels and tires are on. I am holding on trimming the running boards. They don’t rub- but it’s close. Wife is stoked!

Update after a few days with this setup and observations.
1. I DID trim the running boards after all. They never rubbed but drivers side was so close I decided to get it done. It was really easy- I used a reciprocating saw with a fine blade. you simply lower the board, make a tape mark, and cut it. When finished, put the plastic cap back in, drill two holes for the self tappers, and reinstall the screws. I only went 1/2” to maintain aesthetics. Can get a finger between tire and board at closest point. Zero evidence they’ve been cut.
2. The ride is actually smoother with the 18’s and 34” tires than the factory 22’s. I’m running 39lbs cold.
3. The rear bouncing (soft suspension) is more pronounced. On the interstate, you can feel the extra height. I’ll be upgrading the swaybar eventually.
4. Power- the ecoboost literally shrugs off the extra height and weight of the tires. Even with 3.31 gears. It stays in 10th just fine and doesn’t seem to downshift any more than normal.
5. TPMS light is on even though my new wheels have new sensors. I ordered a relearn tool and that will hopefully take care of it. On our Jeep, it simply picked up new sensors without anything extra. I’ve read on Ford platforms you have to teach if new sensors.
6. Speedo and MPG- using a GPS app, the speedo is 3 mph slow at 70. Closer than I expected. As far as mpg, I’m blown away. We took a 130 mile round trip yesterday and the trip computer is showing 17.2 mpg. Normal mode, some city driving, some rural, but mainly interstate. i know the odo is off so mpg is likely better. with stock tires on same trip it would show 19-19.5 mpg. So
My wife loves it! Our only “disappointment” was the front lift wasn’t 3” like RL claimed. Measured in same spot with same wheels and tires it’s showing a total front increase of 2.25-2.5”. But that’s not a big deal as we still have some rake. For those reading this forum and on the fence- I can recommend the lift, the +20 offset wheels, and Falken Wildpeak Tires. I’ve had them before so knew what to expect. One last thing- National Tire and Wheel out of Wheeling WV has been great to deal with. My third wheel and tire package from them. All sets have been balanced perfectly!

Finally got the Icon Stage 2 and new wheel/tire combo installed. Will take better pics when I finish the roof rack.

how does the icon lift ride. everyone keeps talking about ready lift and replacing sway bars. with icon being an actual suspension lift i would like to know how it handles. i am fully thinking of getting the stage 2 with the adjustable front uppers

I did the standard 3/2 Lift
Found some brand new OEM Raptor Takeoffs (wheels and tires) BFG 31570R17
No rubbing...a little bit of poke but not much...(which may be why they don’t rub!)
And just installed my Raptor style grille on the front!
Oh and swapped out all of headlight, fog light, and backup halogen bulbs for LED’s.
At the moment, we are calling it the RaptorEx Edition!
