Are the LED headlights different in the 22's from the past years (21, 20)? My 21's LED headlights are terrific.
Yes, they are LED reflectors across the trim levels. There are no longer LED projectors like previous years.

Oh man. So they cheaped out, huh? That may be a deal breaker for me too. I do have a feeling though that in a couple of years they will make another change (2025?) to bring it up to to the new F150 platform. Should also have the powerboost option then. I will wait..

Any photos to compare the difference at night for visibility between the years. I say this bc I owned several cars that went from projector xenon, LED and Halogen, to reflector LED and quality of light and visibility was not impacted at night. In my explorer it actually got better with the LED reflectors.

The running boards are crap, I have a 2020 FX4, they have the same running boards. I wish they would put something more sturdy like the Tremor running boards. Anyone seen a swap like that?

I have never really been impressed with the Expedition's 4x4 capabilities. My buddy has a Pilot and I actually think it's AWD is better than my Expedition. That said, I like my Expedition far more than the Pilot.
10.9” of clearance, rear lockers, full underbody skid protection, a real 4wd transfer case, and the Raptor powertrain. The Timberline isn’t the standard awd Expedition rolling on city wheels.

congrats OP, this is exactly what I ordered. How’s the power feel?

it’s really nice, can feel the added torque vs my Tundra 5.7 - effortless passing on the highway which was essential for this buy. Haven’t really floored it yet as I wanted some break in period.

As you said, very different beast from the Pilot, I got this for true off-road trails in Colorado. Nothing crazy as it’s still wide and long but high ground clearance and the need for the locker on rocky/sandy steep inclines. Would never consider trying to take the Pilot there. When the Pilot gets stuck you aren’t getting out.

Lots of cars are going LED reflector. My wife’s Explorer with LED reflectors is just as good as my parent’s KR Expedition with LEDs. So I’m withholding judgement until ours is delivered within the next month (hopefully). I just wish they would have done a little more to the housings aesthetically to make them look more like a projector. Chevy actually molded and painted theirs a little and recessed them back. I don’t like the Tahoe headlight design but I like what they did with the housing itself. It’s my only complaint with them visually.
