I got tired of waiting for mine as well. Ordered in October and has been in production since 3/17. My kids are on a triathlon team and we travel up and down the east coast. Ended up buying a used Explorer for our current trip to Texas. While on the road I checked a dealer 500 miles from my house that my family has been using for over 40 years. They had 5 2022s on the lot. Even had one exactly like I ordered. I will be picking it up next week when I drive through that area on my way home.
Hello! Finally got the email confirming a scheduled production date (June 20- ordered Jan 21), and in looking at the details under Packages it includes something called Sun & Style Discount and Ultimate Trip Discount. I tried an internet search but was unable to find anything giving details about theses. Does anyone happen to know what they are? Thanks!
Looks like people are getting emails for June production. I just got one also, and order 4/1. Question, my wife now wants the tow package. Do you think if I tell the dealer to add it, it will affect the production date?

Ordered in early Feb, Max Plat, nothing.
I stupidly passed on a Max Plat that hit a dealer lot a month+ ago because I want the 2nd row bench. Now I'm realizing this was a mistake.
I will pivot and trim-down into a limited (have deposits on 2, one "in production" 4/4 the other marked as "shipped" but no date under that so not sure how accurate that status is -- which one gets in first wins) as the platinum is not likely to ever be built and removal of the massaging seats is a deal breaker for me with respect to the $-premium over the limited.

Not to suggest that you can believe what is published in the news..., this quote just released does give some indication of the magnitude of Ford's problem with half build vehicles. "As was the case throughout the auto industry, Ford's supply chain problems, such as a shortage of computer chips, limited the number of vehicles it could make and sell. In fact it had 53,000 vehicles at the end of the quarter that were mostly completed but await installation of components affected by the semiconductor supshortage”

That's because they are still producing vehicles on the line, and producing those completely and shipping them out. They are just leaving the ones in the offsite lots so they can keep saying they are shortages. Why would you keep producing more, if you have ones sitting offsite for months at a time. Makes absolutely no sense, but then again, what does in this country these days.

ordered Nov 3rd. Build date came in today for June 20th week. I ordered with rear entertainment system in addition to the 302 A package and CCD and autostart delete. The RES was likely the major hold up given how early the car was ordered. I have not removed any options, would be interesting to see what is comes with and without.
