FINALLY...Ford tracking and ordertrack.app both show my Expy in Production...Last date I had was w/o 13-Jun...
Sorry, do not get too excited, mine went into Production March 25th, build was finished May 29th, still waiting on shipping.
Your vehicle has been built and we are arranging shipment to your dealer. This step could take a few days to a week.

Living a few miles down the road, and knowing people who work on the assembly floor, or in their local corporate offices at BMW, I can tell you that they too have major issues with their supply chain. For them, it boils down to a specific line or model, and spirals from there. Countless holding fields of cars exist with vehicles awaiting parts/chips. Countless rail cars offsite, empty, countless over the road trucks/trailers parked getting maintenance done now, while they await vehicles to be released for shipment. They also pick and choose what they build based on what they have parts/chips for, and ship out those that they can.

What you don't hear, is the amount of complaints that you do here, especially of on a thread like this.

Bill

Yes, I'm sure BMW has their own major struggles with parts. I was mainly reporting the observation made to me by my dealer/broker that the *shipping and delivery* of the cars is uniquely poor with Ford right now, and doesn't really seem to be an industry-wide problem (like the chip and other part shortages are).

I am more than a month since my truck was "built" and released for shipment. It still hasn't actually left the plant, though as of early this week it has been assigned to a specific railcar — though that railcar hasn't moved from the plant. Progress, but almost ridiculously slow progress.

Just got the email this morning that my XLT has been built. 06/06 was the production date with ETA of 06/21-06/27 for delivery. Shipping via convoy to Michigan FWIW but not holding my breath.

Local BMW dealer (9.7 miles from the assembly plant) has two cars on the showroom, and one parked out front. The rest of what is there is used, cross manufacturer fill in...Go figure.

Curious how far south you are in MI. Most of the vehicles I've seen posted heading up this way are coming via rail, including mine.

Mine is coming convoy to Michigan. I’m in Ann Arbor area but it is supposed to be here tomorrow without having left yet.

Grand Haven area is where I am.
Thanks - I'm in Traverse City, so maybe most of the ones I have been seeing have been in Northern Michigan. Was just curious how they determine how cars get where they're hopefully going.

Nice, I ordered November 2, 2021 Limited Max Stealth, still waiting for it to be shipped. Not sure why mine is talking so long.

For those planning on just ordering a 2023, you'll have to wait longer. Order bank opening pushed out 2 months to 8/15.

I wouldn't be surprised that the date of the Order Bank opening might be pushed back even further. I know that we all, myself included, have been frustrated with the slow processing and build timelines, but I'm sure that people at Ford have been more frustrated. After all, they are in the business of building and selling vehicles in order to make a profit. I'm sure that Ford doesn't want to continue to partially build vehicles and put them in parking lots. They don't get any revenue for that until those vehicles are delivered to customers. If I were Ford, I would make sure that the nightmares that occurred for MY2022, won't perpetuate into MY2023. People in these forums think that once the order banks open and order guides appear for MY2023, that everything will be okay. I don't think that will be the case for at least 2 more years.
