I am guessing the weeping is happening at the plastic couplers, I have had problems with these plastic molded Tees on multiple vehicles. On my old jeep I had to do this multiple times.

We have a Ford Extended service AND Ford maintenance plan, according to Ford customer service niether of those plans of the phaser recall covers the damaged heater hose. Im waiting to hear back about what type of goodwill Ford and the dealer come up with.
That's complete BS. If you have a ford service plan, that should cover it minus the $100. Even without the phaser service, hoses failing at your mileage with a warranty should 100% be covered. I would fight that big time.

So true, many of these "plastic" parts are essentially one time use things. It's almost like they work great till you touch them, then you might as well replace them.

Sounds tragic, really. How many miles? Might be time to drain/refill coolant anyway, DIY, save a fist full of Benjamins....and know that you aren't breaking something that the dealer will charge another grand for.

WOW!!! I am actually having this same issue with my 2019 Expedition. I had the cam phasers replaced in June and now the heater hoses are leaking. Go figure they want to charge me $1002.77 to get that fixed. I spoke to Ford customer service on Friday and I created a case number to get this issue resolved. I believe the damage was done when they were missing around that repair. I have also brought up the issue about the rear Struts/ Shocks leaking oil along with the transmission slipping. This SUV only has 46,000 miles. Too many issues for a new SUV. My 1965 mustang doesn't have all these issues!!! I hope to hear something back from Ford soon. You should contact this number for help.

Hey guys, I could used some advice.

I have a 2019 Expedition Limited Stealth and it just went in for its second cam phaser repair under warranty. The service rep then called me to let me know the repair was done but that the heater hose was "weeping" and it needs to be replaced at a cost of over $1k.

1) Is $1,050 a fair price to replace JL1Z-18472-B and JL1Z-18472-C?
2) Is it fair for me to push back on the dealer and Ford warranty saying that the heater hose wouldn't be "weeping" if it hadn't been removed multiple times for the cam phaser repairs?
3) Who Ford would i contact to inquire about a goodwill repair?
4) How difficult is it to access and replace JL1Z-18472-B and JL1Z-18472-C?

Thanks guys!
Yes it’s fair… I’d bring it up in a heartbeat!!!

Sure hope your experience with ford customer care was better than mine. To be fair, my issue was much larger and it did finally get repaired, but it took 9 months of constantly arguing and pushing back, never taking no for an answer. It was really fun how many times I was told by the first level customer service agent there is no way to escalate cases at Ford. Eventually they did, but to train customer care agents to say, tells you a lot about how Ford values (or doesn't) it's customers.

I have replace that hose two times now. I purchased it online OEM Ford Motorcraft $97 my mechanic and I put it in ourselves in less than 1/2 hour Ford labor prices are totally unaffordable unless the vehicle is under warranty.

Buy the hoses online, and have a mechanic replace them! 1/2 hour job tops!

Thank you everyone for the replies and information/suggestions.

Ford Customer Service called me back this morning and let me know they are going to pay 60% of the repair which leaves only $185 for me to pay.

Update: About 10 minutes after the initial call the Ford Customer Service rep called back and let me know that Ford is covering the repair 100%!!!
