Had a 2018 Expedition Platinum Max that we really liked but we had a ton of issues with it.
Traded on a 22 Suburban LT (using a GM Exec coupon) that has been trouble-free, other than a massive freaking blind spot on the A-Pillar that my wife just can’t adjust her seat to see around (I even installed seat track spacers). We've almost had a couple of accidents in traffic because of this, and it’s a common complaint on the GM board.
We’re considering trading it back on a nearly new Expedition. (Trade in is so strong the Burb cost us almost nothing to drive for 6 months). I just can’t swing $80k for a new Expy.
Would buy 19/20/21 Max Limited or Platinum around $70k, CPO with Ford extended warranty. Under 30k miles.
I know mid 2020 got the new 4-bolt head cap thing that supposedly fixed the cam phaser issues.
Is 19 new enough to get rid of clicking mirrors, ticking wastegates etc etc. ?? Local dealer has one that only has 28k miles and looks clean. They also have a late 20 build with similar miles but that one has a deposit on it :/
