Almost 306,000 here on the 1998 4WD, and the wife is the original owner. Minor issues here and there related to bad Ford engineering on the front end. LOL But this thang is a beast on a sandy beach.

Have a “used oil smell” starting to happen more…
Need to figure that out.

Still at 210k on my '11 due to a bad back injury. I drove it less than 4k this year. My usual is ~20k.

309,800 on my 99. Having a new transmission this week after 24 years. Looking forward to the new ride. Like others, don't want to spend $70k on a new one.

310,500....everyone says I'm nuts but won't spend $70K-$80K for a new one. Have done a lot of work but if I add it all up I'm still way ahead of the game. Have a love affair with this girl.

The odometer does not work. It stopped at 276k. I would guesstimate we're at 300k+. I have minor valve cover gasket seepage, left side hea gasket oil leak to the exterior of the block, rear main leak, and pan leakage. I believe with all of that, it's the only reason I need to add oil periodically. I don't believe it's burning much of any.

It starts and runs every day. It has had the dreaded exhaust leak since before I bought it. As such, it seems I may have some valves burning up as I've noticed a distinct drop in power (compression?) lately.

I'm considering looking for P.I. head and intake to clean this thing up and restore some life to her.

Took it up a few mountains in Colorado this year. Wife is kind of wanting a new daily, so this might soon officially become the toy.
