I never had a code either. Tried 3 OBDIIs. Even right after it happened but never a code. Dealership took it in and as soon as they inspected and tested it, they called to tell me it failed the compression tests and had to be rebuilt.

Well that is promising. I was worried about no code. I am hopeful when I ask them about this TSB and they drive it they will agree it’s not right. I have mentioned some tsb’s to them in the past and it’s almost like they get offended that I suggest them..

Got the word today that the tranny is shot. Shavings all in the fluid. Dealer is supposed to pull the pan and call and put in the claim with Endurance to schedule and inspector…

A week in and absolutely no resolution. Dealer says needs a new transmission. Endurance won’t cover. I feel like I’m just getting the run around from both… this is a nightmare.
Well, I got the news yesterday... new CDF drum. I have no warranty, but here is the good news.... the service advisor at the Ford dealer I work with for other than minor issues with my Fords, (my wife has a 2019 Edge Titanium) made a call to Ford Cares, today. The total I was quoted for the repairs is just under $3600 and Ford will cover just over $2000 of that bill. WooHoo!!! I guess being a Ford owner for many, many years, and this being my 3rd Expedition, carries some weight! THANKS, Ford!

How is the replacement only $3600? I am needing an entire new transmission and it is $8500.. endurance warranty only going to pay $3100 bc “I drove it 17 miles to the dealer“

Has anybody that has had this TSB done had any issues? I still haven’t approved the work and I found out today that my dear “doesn’t do this tsb they only replace” I said why can’t I do the tsb?? Oh bc your warranty is making me replace. something isn’t adding up.
The repair is only the CDF drum, not a complete Transmission rebuild.

Yeah after a lot of calls I finally figured that out. My warranty is only paying for that but my dealer basically WILL not do it. Only will do a full replacement. They said they “don’t do tsbs only replacements bc they don’t work” but he also said “he has never done one” then back tracked to “well not me personally but we have done a few and they all had problems”. Unreal
