    2007 Exp 275,500 mile repor

I last posted for my 225,000 mile review. 50,000 miles later (3.5 years ago) 1 repair: One of the lines from radiator that brings hot water to heater failed. I replaced both. $500. That's it. Total spent on repairs since 2011 purchase: About $3,000. Oil: Mobil 1. Every 5-6,000 miles...

Thinking of getting a 2016-2017 expedition with V6 - how are they compared to the older V8 5.4 Liter models?

Amen. If towing isn't a concern, go with the 5.4L. Mine has 257,000 on it (2007) and it has only cost me a tad over $2,000 over 10 years. I still get 18-19 MPG.

Spartacus: 2007 Expedition Limited 252,000 mile report

I posted my first report in November of 2017 at 200,000 miles. I bought the vehicle with 85k on it in 2011. Repairs since 2017: New plugs in 2018 at about 210,000. First time for me. Water hoses to AC from radiator (?): $500. That's it. I still get 20 mpg if I keep it to 65 mph. The...

    Expy for off-roading?

If you lift it, you will screw up the RSC computer. It wasn't designed for that. Just get oversized tires, but that will also reduce the highway stability.

    Fuel Milage

Let's do some math on getting something expensive like a tuner/chip/programmer... Say your Ex gets 14 miles per gallon and you do 12,000 miles per year, the average an American drives. You'll use 857.14 gallons. At $3 a gallon you'll spend $2571.43 dollars a year on gas. Let's say your...

As the title says. The front air is cold (cool), but when I also have the rear AC turned on it blows warm. Is that a fuse situation? Thanks.

    Sirius alternatives....

Getting tired of paying nearly $200 a year for Sirius, especially given that they play the same music over and over. I'm an android fan and the Expedition is a 2007 Limited. Are there any other options besides plugging the phone into the "in-line" port?

Spartacus, my 2007 Limited Expedition just passed 230,000 miles this week. I bought it at 85,000 miles for $20,000. Now, at 230,000 miles I have done the following repairs: 1. Seat AC: $110. Soon after purchase in 2011. 2. $400 for Strut at 130,000 miles. 3. $400 for air-blower (front)...

Where to find best deals on-line?

Hello, My 2007 Expedition, while running great at 225,000 miles, must be near the end? At this point I have to consider something bad will happen as NOTHINg bad has happened other than replacing the Water Pump at $600 dollars. I've probably put no more than $2000 into it from 85,000 miles...

    Oil Change Frequency

I wouldn't stretch it to 10,000 miles. I think most would agree 7,000 with full-synthetic is the tops.

    Gas Mileage Report

Of coures, time is important and that neccessitates driving faster than 65 mph, as many do, but many are also surprised when they drive fast and can't understand the laws of physics and how come they get sub-standard milage per gallon. Take care.

    Gas Mileage Report

If you want to get better gas milage, slow down. Keep it to 60 or 65 and you'll get 19-21, depending on a multitude of factors like head-winds, tail-winds, tire types, etc. These are great vehicles, but driving over 2,000 RPM is the main culprit in bad gas milage.

200,699 mile report on 2007 Limited

    1. Bought this gal in 2011 with 85,000 miles on it. It was a repo. 2. MPG, calculated by hand, corresponded to the computer 285 miles divided by 13.5 gallons. 21 MPG. Of course, I drive 65 to 70 on cruise control for this MPG. This was from Durango CO, to Santa Fe then back to the gas station...

2007 Expedition Limited Vegas trip gas milage report

Question...if you didn't have the chip, what would your MPG be? Just seeing if it is worth it from a gas-saving point of view. The truck has enough HP for me; I don't speed or tow. Thank you!
