i keep debating on doing a custom setup on mine. im going with gibson shortys whenever they get to the house but im thinking of running an x shape crossover with flowmaster 10s in the spare tire spot since i have a big empty space there. then out of the mufflers weld the tips and let them poke out the back.

I would stay away from Flowmasters, but that because I'm having a bad experience with them now. Mine is very hollow sounding and tinny up in the higher rpm's. Sound like s*** at certain rpm's, but does sound good at idle and low rpm's. If I do it again I'm going with Magnaflow.

if youre that wrapped up into sound...i dont know what to tell you...i love the way mine sounds...at low speeds/rpms and on the freeway at 70 mph...i hear it just find on the freeway inside...its not too overbearing that when my wife has to ride with the A/C on that we cant enjoy the music...but still know its there...

boils down to personal preference...mine is performance...

Well it sounds really good at idle and tooling around town. But i've ridden beside the expy in my truck and my motorcycle and it sounds like total crap when taking off. Sounds very "airy", "tinny", and "hollow". Nothing like the deep rumble v8 sound i was hoping for. And you don't even want to put it to the floor cause it sounds so bad.

i agree the mom and pops shops are the best deals
