Hi, my first post here as just bought my first Expo. Bought the car a few days ago and all seems ok expect the tailgate wont open. All the other doors open. I tried using the key but no luck. Could this be a fuse issue if so which one?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Are you able to unlatch the rear glass? If not the linkage may have disconnected. If that is the case you may have to cut the cover off to get to the internals.

Hi,

Thanks for the welcome and the replies. I can't open either the tailgate of the window. How do I take off what's needed to be removed?

I did watch the video and also 2 other videos about making the repairs. There was one that shows how to replace the ends with a metal fitting which to me would be a much better repair than using a ty-wrap.
The reason for my question was to see if you did the repair as the video suggested or if you used some other method

Thank you for your reply

Hi,

Sorry late reply long day. OK so I used cable/zip ties to increase the tension on the broken cable as seen in the video.

Hope that helps! Any questions let me know

YouTube is my best friend in repairing things. From computer repairs and upgrades to easy car repairs hard repairs go to the shop.
