20,000 reasons to love my '98

so, i have officially passed the 20,000 mile mark since buying this truck 2 years ago this month. i have to say i'm very proud of this $2500 cream puff.. 1 alternator, 1 belt, set of plugs, set of brake pads all around and otherwise its been oil changes every 5-7k (synthetic) and lot of gas!

as of tonight i sit at 84,184 miles. in the time i've owned it i've spent $7,449.71 on gas LOL but loved every mile! made alot of memories in this truck that i will cherish i hope to keep modding and maintain this truck for many years and many miles to come. heres to rolling 100k!

Holy crap, just north of 80k!?! Didn't anyone tell you its 14 years old! Haha just kidding, congratulations on hitting the 20,000 mile mark. I've put in about 30,000 in mine since I bought it from my parents a couple years ago. Worth every penny.

the sad part of this is in 2 years i've driven about 43k miles between the expedition and excursion and spent about $14,000 on gas....yeah...damn! idk how the hell i drive so much. i dont do that many road trips and my daily commute is only about 30 miles round trip daily.

i do love having a low mile truck though, i really stole this thing when i bought it.

I wish I had 80K on mine... just turned 237850 and it runds amazing.. .funny story---guy wanted car and owed on this so ..he paid it off and traded even trade...Expy was worth 1500 more and he owed 1500 so I was up 3K at trade... um..can you say stole it!!!!! he did a lot of front end work ball joints, a arms, rods, etc... so... I put 1500 into it and am still ahead.. so...

congrats on the 20K mark.... even at 237K, I would still drive this across country... no worries...

i'm glad to know the truck will last many many years to come! i really love it..so reliable and ready to go any time. MPGs are great and the size is a nice happy medium between the excursion and explorer.

few more mods in the plans..we'll see what another 2 years brings her

98 is the best year, Mine has around 220k on it and i can go fire it up rite now and lay down a heck of a burnout

I know where theres a almost mint 97 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 with the 454 engine 6" lift that just barley has 32k mikes on it as of today.

since i posted the truck is over 85k miles now! it makes me happy to add miles but kills me at the same time

my dads '99 V8 LTD explorer has 31k on it. bought it in '08 with 17k. love low mile trucks lol
