The dealer said to call ford. I called ford and they’re also saying that they can’t see any PCOs in my name. I don’t know why that would be as they could see it before.

Unfortunately, the PCO card is somewhere in a box. We recent moved and it’s packed away. I had stopped looking for it because I called in and they said they could see it and didn’t need the card. :disgust:

My car has finally arrived. Buying the car with X Plan. Dealership tried to tell me that if I finance the car I’m required to use Ford Credit since I’m buying with X Plan. I’m 99% sure that’s not true. Can anyone help confirm?

Also, can they also apply price protection with x plan?
You can pay cash or bring your own financing with X Plan. Dealer may be unwilling to provide financing with anyone but Ford Credit, but if you bring your own, it's exactly like cash from their perspective.

All customer ordered vehicles are price protected.

(I am a Ford salaried employee, but do not work in finance.)

Ugh that sucks. Mind came through on the Ford app, so I just have the screen shot with the code on it, never had a hard copy to start with.

Good attitude—great way to cultivate a repeat customer.

Who knows if his story is true.....I've always gone directly to the sales manager to order cars. They typically have a stronger and longer-term vested interest in the dealership's sales. They're usually in that position for a reason, and I've found their attitude and customer relations style is usually a good litmus test for the dealership and what your experience there will be like.
I am really not sure what to think about that local dealer. They are the only Ford dealer in a fairly large city, so they have a pretty good location. But I see a fair amount of cars around with the sticker logo on the back from the dealer I ordered my replacement order from, which is about 35 miles away. I did talk to the local store sales manager - he wasn’t really interested in talking, he pushed me off to the sales critter and “Billy”, the guy who sits in the front glass office all day and runs the computer terminal. Maybe I offended him by wearing a mask into the building?
I did tell them we just moved here from 1000 miles away, and that I have bought several Fords (Flex, Escort, Mustang, Fiesta, Cortina in order most recent to oldest) going back over the years and would come see him any time I needed a new car. It just did not seem to motivate them. And to a retired guy, an extra 35-40 minutes one way drive is not too big a penalty to feel good about the relationship with the business.

Over the years of buying cars I've had that happen, where the sales manager quickly escorted me to a sales guy on the floor who 'would take good care of me.' I would usually chat with the sales guy for a few minutes and then leave....

At the dealers where I've been a repeat customer (I ordered 4 Navigators in a row from one dealer, 3 Corvettes from another), the sales manager invited me to sit down with him in his office, asked what I was interested in, went through the explanations of different models and options, wrote up the order, and personally followed through thru delivery. I even got follow-up calls/emails or sometimes cards, asking how the new car was and thanking me for my business. Although I'm not sure anyone sends cards in the mail anymore.....

my original but now abandoned order that was built (9/7) of a XP limited stealth is among that sea of trucks. so glad I gave up waiting and found a stealth on a lot and bought it a month ago now. I still get the emails for that old order and one came in the other day that expected window of shipping of 9/21-9/27 is now 11/8 - 11/14. I expect I will get another email on 11/14 about having to delay in order "To ensure your complete satisfaction, we will require additional time before your 2022 Expedition Limited is delivered". yep ford says I will be MORE satisfied not having my vehicle than I would be having it apparently?

Went and picked it up yesterday. Still need to find the $2500 PCO card since Ford is adamant they can't see it in their system. I was told that if I can find it within 90 days then Ford would cut me a check for the amount.

I had a few thoughts/concerns with the vehicle as-delivered:

- I love the Stone Blue. Ford really needs to fix the color representations on their website. It looks nothing like the real thing.
- Truck had 80 miles on it.
- There were a few good dings in the hood. I'm assuming this was from the transport. Looks like some rocks came up on it. A few scratches and chips. Not happy for what we pay for transport costs. They were able to buff them out pretty well.
- Small chip on the rear passenger door right under the chrome belt line. This one is going to need some touch-up paint.
- The seat belt receptacle on the front passenger seat just flops around and rattles against the front console. We compared it to another expedition on the lot and it's the same. So, I guess that's the way it is? If you push the receptacle forward or backwards so it's sandwiched between the seat and console then it stops.
- Random screws in one of the door pockets.
- The trim piece on the roof just inside the rear hatch was hanging down and had to be snapped up into place.
- Both running board come down no matter which side you're on. Seems very strange.
- There seems to be a slight shimmy/shake when going over 75. Need to test it out more on a road I know is smooth.
- I traded in a RAM 1500 Limited. The Expedition quality seems to be much higher, but the RAM's interior was "nicer" with better material selection, nicer leather, wood trim, styling, etc. I guess that's subjective.

Other than that, it's been pretty good.

Thank you for the confirmation. In the end, the dealership did a great job. X plan, $1k credit I wasn’t even aware of, and price protection. I had my own financing but allowed them to shop it and they were able to help there too.

Maxwell Ford in Austin TX nailed it!

looks nice. agree on the stone blue, looks nothing like on ford site. this looks waaaay better.

I almost feel bad for giving up waiting for the SB limited stealth I ordered, almost. I'm happy with the dark matter limted max stealth in my driveway I found last month while "my" order sits in KY with a delayed shipping of maybe mid NOV.

Well. Just got the email that delivery is expected mid November. For those that were able to find a different car at the dealer? How did you find it? The dealers around us all say the expeditions coming in are all preorders.

I used ford site for inventory search using 100 mile radius from a zip code in middle of Virginia, and for a vehicle that I was intrested in I clicked thru to sticker on ford site and then to each dealers site and used the VIN on sticker to ask via each dealers site chat if such and such VIN was ACTUALLY on the lot. stuck with chat to avoid hearing them try and sale other rides that I wasn't interested in. I used a cut and paste script that clearly said, "I dont want to chit chatty and just want a YES/NO, do you have this VIN XXXXXXXXXXXX physically on your lot right now, today?" found out a lot of dealers count in transit cars as "in inventory" that did me no good since they would say "it should be here soon" too often.

Quite honestly, call ford marketing. Tell then you can't wait for your order. They can search nation wide.

Nice! Got my In Transit status on the tracker late last week as well. Finally feels like real progress!

Got pushed back another week. I guess this is the game now to keep pushing back another week forever. Patience is running thin and think I will cancel order and go spend 100k on a smooth riding foreign suv like bmw lexus or mercedes. Wanted the room but dealing with this and reading Ford not helping customers with vibration on new expeditions.

Might 2014 expy might be my last ford since kids are getting older and don't need room. No boat to pull so i can't see why a full size suv
