Drove by Atchinson Ford in Belleville, MI again this morning and saw another 2022 sitting on the lot facing the road.

Called to inquire, and it is available. Limited XLT MAX in white. Apparently the price increase is legit, as a lease is around $1,000 a month on it.

Golly. Better just waiting for our order from January to get into production one of these days since that price is amazing now.

Got the email that mine has been "built" and awaiting shipping. Ordered 12/15, final build schedule date was 4/25. Limited, stealth, tow, infinite blue. Hoping the kinks are getting worked out and we'll all have ours soon.

Mine says rail and I live in central Texas. I’m just hoping the rail car info populates so I can kinda follow it along the way. I know it’s not going to be super specific. But like someone else said, I could use something else to refresh and check every hour of the day lol
You have to call the dealer and ask them for the rail car number. It's not gonna populate in the order tracker.

I believe most all ship by rail when going out of state. Ours did and we’re in NC. It arrived this week and I was able to see/drive it yesterday. We got a platinum forged green with Carmelo interior, 3.73, EDLS, and HD tow. It’s absolutely gorgeous but I’m on the fence. We’d be paying $1k below MSRP. Dealer says if we don’t take it they plan to mark it up $10k over MSRP. I was more impressed with it before I drove it. I thought I rode rougher than my Ram and the seats weren’t as comfy (nothing is removed, we have the massaging seats and rear climate controls). I thought the platinums had an air ride suspension but didn’t feel that way to me. Maybe that’s an option we didn’t select. If we bought it we may be able to sell it for the same or more within a few months considering it has everything and most now don’t but that’s not a certainty with the current market/economy. I need to decide today but still straddling the fence.
Did you order it with CCD or without?

Air ride is not an option.

If you haven't already, I would check the tire pressure and ensure that it is inflated as specified on the door jamb.

I ordered 10/15/21, the day order banks opened. My loaded Platinum Max just arrived at the dealer today. Unfortunately I couldn't wait this long an bailed out a few weeks ago (I found one just like it in stock elsewhere). Seems like very very few customer orders have actually arrived into customer hands so far.

The chip holds seem to be very random. Some have a hold, others that ordered earlier and others later have already arrived or been shipped.

It was orders during a 2 week production period in March (I think) that were produced, but the chips weren't available when they were produced. So, those vehicles were placed on chip hold and will likely stay in that status until most if not all of the production for MY22 is complete. So those vehicles produced before and after that production period will MOST LIKELY ship before those built in the chip hold production period, unless they were built in a production period where there was a shortage of chips.

And that is absolutely a HORRIBLE way to do business! So if what you say is true then I/we (others with chip holds) will not get mine until mid to late summer.

That is a very likely possibility. From a production stand point, its easier for the assembly line to be set up to continue manufacturing cars complete, rather than to convert the assembly line over to install the missing chips/parts, and then revert it back to assemble complete vehicles again. I know it doesn't much sense to us as the consumer but from their end of things, its saving them time and money.

I agree it does save them time and money........however they just tick off a bunch of customers in the mean time. Plus it is costing me money as well. My current truck I plan to trade in for it will have more miles on it by the time the Expedition comes in. I will bet my right arm I will not get near as much for it as they originally offered at the lower mileage.

Guess it is what is. I just need to quick worrying about it and just wait till the dealership calls and says its in.

More than likely. The vehicle I just purchased on left (3/31/22), the one I ordered on the right(3/14/22), still in "chip hold" purgatory.

My trade-in is likely to only get me $3,000 but what I'm worried about is interest rates. Already up 75 points since I ordered, which makes a heck of a difference on a $90K vehicle.

I would say just in the last week or so based on number of dealer units that have come in and been purchased and other who ordered after I did also proves the point.

Yeah I didn't even mention that part of it, but you are exactly right.

I totally understand because I am in the same situation as far as trading in a vehicle for the new rig. I planned on getting about $5k+ more than what I paid for my truck but now I'm looking at more along the lines of $2k-$3k. This is my first vehicle I have ordered from FMC, and I can say I'm not overly fond of the experience during the entirety of the process. That being said, there isn't very much clarity in their ordering process and leave the customers (and dealers) in the dark. If they would just be front with us about what is happening instead of beating around the bush, I think most of us would be more accepting of that.
