My vehicle went into production 4/20. Was updated to 4/28 and now the window sticker is gone. Almost 20 days into "production". Are we having fun yet?

I'm in the same boat as you. You ready to paddle upstream with me for several more months lol?My vehicle went into production 4/20. Was updated to 4/28 and now the window sticker is gone. Almost 20 days into "production". Are we having fun yet?
I got the oars. You bring the beer. Ordered 1/8 with what we were told was a 8-10 week delivery. Dealer must have meant 8-10 months.I'm in the same boat as you. You ready to paddle upstream with me for several more months lol?
Is it gold plated with bulletproof glass?
why are you surprised? Those are diamond studded headlights, not LED, hence the price. The rest of the body looks normal because its a stealthy "STEALTH PACKAGE"Is it gold plated with bulletproof glass?
Nope. Still sitting since 3/30.Has anyone on chip hold had an update?
Been on chip hold since 03/18, order was placed 10/25. Spoke with Ford Marketing last week and they sang me a sad song and said they would put in a complaint. No updates other than dealership saying the same thing since end of April.Has anyone on chip hold had an update?
I looked at the AT4's but then read the reviews on their lifter/rod engine issues, and electrical...staying away!Going to stop at a GMC dealer tomorrow as well. They are taking orders for the 2023 Denali XL with super cruise, for fall delivery.

Does GMC still run the cylinder deactivation mechanism (active fuel management) on their V8s? I had a Tahoe with the 5.3L and that was the WORST engine I've ever had in an SUV.I looked at the AT4's but then read the reviews on their lifter/rod engine issues, and electrical...staying away!
As far as I know, they have changed the 5.3 from the active fuel management system to the dynamic fuel management system. Whatever that means lolDoes GMC still run the cylinder deactivation mechanism (active fuel management) on their V8s? I had a Tahoe with the 5.4L and that was the WORST engine I've ever had in an SUV.
You could also ask your dealer. They can see that date in the system. My dealer showed me mine when I asked (supposedly next week). As someone has mentioned previously, you will be paying the dealer a lot of money, they should be more than willing to help you!I am thinking about calling Ford Marketing to inquire about my order. When and if I call them, is this department the right people to ask for order updates? I guess the idea of calling "marketing" for an order update seems off - but seems like it's the way
Placed order 1/17, and still waiting for a production update. Only got an order confirmation e-mail and a delay in production email on 3/18.
Yes that's who Ford says to call. Just be prepared to be disappointed in their lack of actually providing any information. In my experience, calling has only added to the frustration with this process.I am thinking about calling Ford Marketing to inquire about my order. Note too one of the BoF folks said they are short 7000 wiper motors so far, that is a TON of stacked inventory.so, running some math here...if based on the numbers from the BlueOval forum, where Expy production is close to 2,640 units a week. Figure on the months of March and April as true production months...given the delayed start up...and to make damn sure they have the parts to assemble the trucks. That's roughly 13,200 units a month. But if you look at Ford sales...they only logged 1917 and 1971 sales of Expeditions in March and April (which may have some leftover 2021s in there too). So that is only roughly 15% of what was produced. Yeah, some could be in transit or sitting unsold on lots with markups...but its in their best interest to get them to dealers to get the sales. So, the other roughly 85% of units are unsold. Or as we all know...waiting on chips and/or wiper motors. That's over 11,000 units a month going to into the backlog. Which to the earlier point...when you are opening ordering books in late October...scheduling initial production in late January/early Feb...stacking the deck against your customers and dealers.
