2022 Expedition - Schedule for production ?

Actually went into production 3/16

Estimated delivery June 16

I’m sorry but this is getting to be absurd. I’ve read so many people who ordered after me on here who already have there’s. I live in AL and it’s being built in Kentucky.

I think what probably ****** me off the most is my dealer. They have not ONCE reached out to me. I’ve had to contact them. But I guess they don’t give a shit if they sell it to me or not cause someone will surely buy it immediately. They do nothing to advocate for me.

My dealership ALSO shows MY CAR with MY VIN on their website as in stick and available. They show that they have several expeditions in stock and several more in transit. Which is all a lie. They have non in stock. They say that Ford controls that which is total bull.

I understand that there supply chain issues and shipping issues. But 2.5 months to build it and now another 2 months to deliver it. And there’s no confidence in that. This is just absurd

If you are able to see your sticker and it is GREEN as opposed to BLUE, the vehicle is a special order, and unless you officially cancel the deal, they can not list it as in inventory and for sale. That's a question for Ford. Did you sign a purchase agreement and put down any money? If so, they can't offer that vehicle for sale. Your dealer gives dealers in general a bad name. There are truly GOOD dealers out there. Too bad, there are few who take advantage and abuse the whole process that ruins the reputation for all dealers.

I'm in a similar boat and can empathize with you.

Ordered 11/12/2021
Scheduled for production week of 3/7
Pushed back to 3/14
Pushed back to 3/21
Pushed back to 4/4
Pushed back to 4/11
Pushed back to 4/18
Pushed back to 4/25
Complete radio silence for months the entire time (dealership did not provide me any updates, I had to ask)
Built email on 6/24
No idea when it will actually ship (email says arrival at dealership expected 7/14 - 7/20)

I hate the market dynamics right now. The dealership doesn't have to care because they know that if I walk away they'll sell it for far more than what we agreed to. It used to be that you could walk and they'd come crawling back asking you to buy the truck.

And, I'm already preparing myself for them to try and back out of our initial agreement. Terrible situation at all angles.

I could not agree with you more. I guarantee that if my vehicle ever arrives they will try things to not sell it to me.

That is weird, I don't know anything about the rules of what the dealer can do with special orders on their website.

I can tell you from personal experience that is how the process works. I do believe Ford is in control at least in some part of the website update. My VIN was also listed on my dealer's site with an extremely high price over MSRP. I purchased the vehicle to our agreed to price with no issues. There is hope all is well.

100% normal with just about every manufacturer. I’ve ordered a number of vehicles and this has happened everytime. No need to worry.

Yes both showed shipped and now ordertrack shows delivered and Ford shows final prep. Only one window sticker from 5/26. I did have auto stop/start removed when I ordered in February.

Scheduled for production June 27. Got an email late last week it was bumped to July 18.

But, the window sticker was released this week and this is the tracker. So I guess it is in production?

My wife is very excited for the panoramic moon roof. No idea it came with it, but saw it on the sticker. Auto start/stop was removed. Wife also happy with that.

Ordered same thing just different color on 1/22 and just got an email last night saying delivery is pushed back to 7/27 to 8/2! 420 miles away in IL. Got the built email on 6/21. Love how ford builds and delivers vehicles in random order…

We went through the same thing. Ordered 12/27/21 and finally picked up our expedition yesterday 6/28/22. We got the 2022 platinum in white with Carmelo interior. Ford deleted the multi-contour front seats on us. But it is still a great vehicle and worth the wait.

The ford internal system shows me in a mysterious status called 'BUCKED'. I don't know about you guys, but I've felt 'BUCKED' for a long time. It shows an estimated delivery of 7/11, but I'm sure I'm just 'BUCKED'.

Bucked means all the parts are allocated and it's going to be moving down the assembly line. Lucky Dog

Got mine yesterday. Ordered 10/23...built end of 3/31...on hold...finally shipped 6/10...at dealer 6/22. Max 304A with HD Tow. All features intact. Kept the standard 12 inch screen to keep some of the buttons. Seemless experience with Chapman.

I order 302A Limited Max confirmed on 2/14. Thanks for your reply. Gives me more encouragement that they’ll get to me eventually.

Between this car and the lightening, patience is my middle name.

Just got scheduled for 8/29!!! Now I’m finally into the next waiting room lol.

Ordered 302A Limited on 12/8/21 and last email from Ford was June 14 as follows: "Your vehicle’s previous estimated delivery range of June 27, 2022, and July 3, 2022, has been updated to between July 17, 2022, and July 23, 2022." Not too encouraging though because this was the 3rd time the delivery has slid a month. One more month of delays and I may just cancel it and order a 2023. I'll be back in line for another wait, but hopefully shorter and it would be 'fresher'.
On top of that, I hit a deer last week on the Turnpike with my 18 Expy (which is my trade-in) at 80mph and completely trashed the front end - $11k damages. Guess it could be worse though - it could've been the new one. Also, I'm enjoying the $40 fill ups in my Nissan Kicks rental car versus my $120 Expy fillups!
