dealer in Orlando delivering mine tomorrow around noon, crossing my fingers that nothing happens on the 180 mile drive down to me. I will post some pics when it gets here.

Mine is already in the shop for paint repair. I find minor scratches on the lift gate that went down to the metal. Salesman said it wouldn't take long to fix (few hours) but when I showed up to drop it off the service department told me it could be a couple of days.

Mine has scrapes on a door handle, scuffs of both rear upper quarter trim panels (the gloss black bits), and a broken tab on the trailer hitch cover. Supposedly going to be fixed by Ford.

Just got a call that they are waiting on the trim piece then I should be able to pick it up. If not I'll get a loaner or rental for the weekend.

Would anyone here be interested in a King Ranch Max? I placed an order early this year but couldn’t wait through all the delays and now it’s scheduled to arrive in a couple weeks.

It’s a 2022 infinite blue King Ranch Max 4x4 with the rear seat entertainment. You’d be buying it at msrp which is already a couple thousand less than if you build one online now due to the price increase. Send me a DM if you're interested and I’ll put you in contact with the dealer.

I’ll post this in the regular forum too, but thought I’d do it here first if anyone is still delayed and wanting something quicker.

If you back out the price protection between the dealer and ford expires too. MSRP will be whatever the window sticker says today.

If the dealer is honoring “original MSRP” then they are offering a discount on the vehicle.

2022-02-06 - Order Confirmed (dealer order MAX 303A, not my custom order)
2022-07-24 - In Production
2022-07-26 - Built
2022-07-29 - Shipped via Convoy
2022-08-01 - Arrived at Dealer (I was surprised it was so fast. I guess truck is a lot faster than rail)
2022-08-03 - Available for pickup

Just drove it home about 400 miles. I did have one really weird experience. We were on a bridge that had construction with a one lane road ahead so workers were holding a stop sign. I was not moving and after cars drove past us, the car shook a little bit, then started porpoising. My wife said wow these cars are really shaking everything but I looked at the car in front of us and it was dead still.

I remember reading somewhere that the CCD (Continuous Controlled Damping) could cause this and it was the weirdest thing. The car was just constantly bouncing for like 30 seconds, while we were at standstill and even after cars stopped driving past us, as if we were doing the nasty in the back.

The ride was really nice. I'm brand new to Ford and not a car expert by any means but highway driving with CCD on these 22s at about 43 PSI from the dealer it was really quiet and comfortable. Too bad the wife hates the red stitching lol.
Your truck looks awesome in the silver.

Cheers

Blue Whale is home with its smaller Ford brother after 9 months; limited 302A, CCD, RES. Ordered 9/3/21, built 6/6/22, shipped 6/9. Picked up 7/29
Already 1200+ miles in a week. Rides great, much more planted with CCD than my Infiniti QX 56/QX80. I am truly surprised that a truck so large can be quite agile and responsive. The downside is, as the driver, you feel some road imperfections a little bit more than the QX which is ultra smooth but wallows like a boat on choppy seas when you brake hard or turn aggressively. I think however that's a small price to pay for the other advantages gained in quietness and drivability. The family is thrilled with oodles of space.
As for the RES, it sucks big time. You would think FORD would improve the system with introduction of Amazon Fire and a midcycle refresh. Well, that's for the name only. Big fail. Does not appear to be functionally significantly improved from the previous ones given what I had previously read prior to purchase. I guess the kids would continue to use their electronics with the car's, Mum's or Dad's cellular for wifi. All in all though, a great ride and really happy I ordered it. Now let's hope it remains as reliable as the predecessor

Wow, that blue looks great. Much better than the images in the Ford Builder. The interior looks great too. Wife said that looks much better than ours, ouch lol (silver with stealth black)

Thanks. The only change I made to our order was changing from stone to infinite blue. I guess it was a good choice! And you are right, the ford builder does it no justice. I did see one an infinite blue on a pre-production Platinum on Youtube which made me jump ship

Just curious if anyone knows when they release your window sticker? I have a build date of the week of 8/15. Does it show up before or after it’s built?

Usually about 7 days before the build date. Your 8/15 is most likely the build week and not the build day. Mine showed up 7/29 and my production start date was 8/6.

What you posted above are strictly examples, and not the actual byproduct of the "plan" of your eligibility. Each dealer has a specific number multiplier that gets factored in when they are quoting or placing a "plan" order. As such, minor differences in the numbers given can be expected, but never more than $100-$150 on a $60,000 "plan" order (used for an example only). Where the bigger number differences can play in, is the add on of a "dealer line option, dealer charges, or even local, county, and state charges", but the basic numbers for the vehicle and factory options, if quoted apples to apples at 100% the same from one dealer to another, will not, or should not change.

The real print out of a quoted order, or an actual order processed, will have all three "plan" prices listed at the bottom of the paperwork.

Finally, as I stated above, specifically dealing with a "X" plan order, you are purchasing the vehicle at 2% over true dealer cost, Ford kicks back an additional 6% to the dealer for taking the "VIP" order from a "plan" participant . If a dealer states they are giving you a percentage off their "invoice", that is not their actual cost for a specific vehicle, and they are playing a different game without any rules or regulations.

Bill

PS: The benefit of a dealer taking a "plan" order is a simple one, it does not factor in to their floorplan costs, nor does it affect their annual allotment of vehicles in which they can order. There are additional benefits offered internally for taking "plan" orders, but I do not have access to that information, nor would I post it if I had it, as it is strictly internal between Ford and it's dealer network.
Thanks, Bill. I have learned a lot on here.
