So I am replacing the passenger side head due to spark plug issue.

After taking the intake off found the coolant line to be really rusty.

No one locally has it and I need to get this thing back on the road due to the weather, Mustang in the snow = pain in the arse

So my real question is why could I not use heater hose to replace this thing with? Stick it in some wire loom for protection, a splice and a couple of hose clamps and done?

Also why could this not be done with the intake on. Just fish it through, plastic splice at the back couple of hose clamps call it a day.

Any reasons this could not be done?

flame suit on.

Maybe the metal in the engine is hotter than the coolant. If the rubber hose were to touch the metal, it might melt. Idk.
