Took my 2003 to the dealer yesterday since the advtrac has been turning itself off and on a few times. Dealer said it needed reprograming and they did that. They also said that is the fix from Ford and if that doesn't fix it, then they have to replace it. It's almost out of warranty. I said well what if this doesn't fix it. They said: You should know in about 200 miles more. I said: What if it goes out after warranty? They said: We "should" cover it. Yeah, well should and would are different. SHOULD THEY? Should I insist???

Have them keep the repair order open until you hit the 200 mile mark.

Problems that are being worked on under warranty that still have an active work order open must be completed regardless if the truck's mileage or age push it out of the warranty period.
