For those with power steps, do you get rock dings on the door?

on gravel roads I am constantly hearing the rocks hitting the wide FX4 running board.

I am afraid all these rocks will be hitting the doors If I install power boards.

I haven’t had rocks hit the doors...I’m really particular about scratches and dings and the few I have are attributed to me and I drive a fair amount on dirt and gravel forest service roads. I did have my running boards covered with clear bra to protect them but not any on the side of the vehicle.

Mine are chip free. I have a few random chips on my doors, so I just installed mud flaps.

Just to follow up. These steps do fit a 2019, on the box it says 2018-2019 and on the website it just says for 2018. I figured that was the case but wanted to confirm for anyone else looking.
