I have a 01 XLT and am not crazy about the way the auto 4wd kicks in when the rear tires break loose. Any chance of the automatic being disabled on these trucks. I live in Michigan and would rather have control as to when the 4wd is ingauged. New to this forum, thanks in advance for any input.

There is a whole section on this. It is commonly called the brown wire mod. You're welcome.
