I've had some issues with the thermostat area now I'm developing a slow leak after replacing the intake manifold 1 year ago. The original problem was the intake manifold leaking from an over heated gasket , I'm just trying to give this old beast it's best shot and lasting years before I do the dreaded timing chain job.

Did you replace the thermostat gasket when you replaced the intake manifold? I prefer the Ford gasket for the thermostat. Otherwise I generally use Fel-Pro gaskets.
