Buried in the Ozarks, but I got out...............24 hours later.

I took my kids out to go wheelin' on Fort Leonard Wood yesterday with a couple of my buddies, and we got dirty on post, at my usual spot. Then my friend with a lifted ram on 35's says that we should head out to spot that he heard about that can swallow a truck whole. We haven't hardly had any rain in the past month so I figured that we would be alright. Well here are the results of me trying to lead through a trail. It was slick as snot on the wet clay and it pushed me into some huge ruts and I gave her hell pushing through. I got through more that any of my buddies since I picked a line that was higher up on the hill so it took me longer to get into the ruts and I was carrying a lot of momentum until I hit this hole.

Here are a couple pics after I got pulled out today. My mirror was the only casualty, everything else is in good shape.

I had a blast, me and my buddies worked our butts off last night (after I called my wife to come pick up the kids) to get the Ram dug out and back on the hardball. We started a bon fire after dark and worked until 11:30, then came back this afternoon to get my Expy out. It took a Jeep, F150, and Tacoma to pull me out since I was high centered in that hole. A case of Bud Light and all is well!

My wife isn't to happy with me but my Expy is in the driveway now where it belongs. Hope you guys had as much fun as I did this weekend.

I did not air down, since I didn't expect it to be nearly that bad. This was only the 2nd or 3rd time I have even used 4Low. I really don't think it would have helped since there was nearly no traction even for the guys with M/T tires.

I have a couple Expeditions in my neighborhood and one of them drove by yesterday and their jaws dropped when they saw how muddy mine is. They stopped and asked if it does any good out on the trails. I said take yours and find out.

I will say that a limited slip would have helped me and lockers would be life savers.
