Huh it's pretty clear that GVWR = 7720 for Max 4x4, 7450 for Std length4x4. Wakeboarder's outlier is our only 4x2 so we'd need more entries to confirm that one.

But Payload doesn't seem to correlate with anything else on that list... there's only 3 2020s and they are all over the place. Seriously it looks like either they just randomly generate the payload, or they're weighing the vehicle with a scale that has +/- 100 lbs accuracy.

I’m finding it fascinating that the 4x4 Max has the most payload. Traditional wisdom says get the 2wd short wheel base because the extra length and drive train bits add weight. And yet those bits seem to bring beefed up front axles which more than offset the increased weight.

Looks like the biggest determinant to payload is trim level and wheelbase. XLT Max nice, platinum 123" bah humbug. Somewhat mirrors ford restricting f150 high payload package to XLT trim only.

The 4x4 max scoring so well overall is a surprise.

3/2 lift, 295/70's on 1/4 spaced powder coated raptor wheels. No front air dam. All DD LED's, start/stop eliminator, tint, and the usual FORSCAN stuff. Doing a black wrap of all chrome and gray this weekend. Ill get a tune soon enough also.

My build is the same as Sanman28 but I have the 8 seater so my payload is reduced by 50lbs compared to his. I have the base XLT with the only added option being the HD tow package. Payload is 1855.

Front Axle 3550 Rear 4380. GVWR 7720. XLT Max 8 pass, bench seats both rows. Mine is a 2019, not a 2020.
