The audio system is not compressing anything. It is the music you were listening to. Sirius XM is heavily compressed music from your phone is less compressed but still is. Try a CD it will be as good as the sound system will sound. I think it sounds great. For those who have forscan, is there an option to uncompress the audio sound. Listening to the b&o, the sounds is compressed, but theres no option to uncompress like the old fords did. By uncompressing it, the audio would sound so much better.
I agree 100% but I have found one way to eliminate that after you park in the auto stop kills the engine turn the car off before switching to parkThe wife and I don't mind the auto stop/start. Except when we park. We come to a stop and it shuts off. Then we switch it form drive to park, engine comes back on, just so we can shut it off . Unless we are quick to switch it, that is the outcome. What are we doing wrong?
Yes, if you pull into a spot and the motor stops just press the ignition button and you are done.Doesn’t it go into park automatically when you turn it off?
I’m using it on Windows 10 in VirtualBox on my Mac and it works great.Looks like Windows is my only option. If only we had a PC in the house. Gonna have to try to do a bootcamp on my wife's macbook.
Ok, spent the last three hours installing Parallels on my Mac, all just to run Windows XP. Got it going, installed Parallels Tools to enable USB integration. Trying to connect the USB OBD11 dongle to my Ford's port, can't connect. Seems like WinXP doesn't have the drivers to recognize the OBD11 dongle.
The s*it you have to go through just to disable a feature that should never have been made permanent.
I intend to write Ford a strongly worded letter about this.
XP??????? why the hell did you choose XP?Ok, spent the last three hours installing Parallels on my Mac, all just to run Windows XP. Got it going, installed Parallels Tools to enable USB integration. I Second that comment!XP??????? why the hell did you choose XP?
A brilliant idea, I’m sure they’d love to hear about you modifying vehicle software you don’t own with a legally questionable software program from Russia.I intend to write Ford a strongly worded letter about this.
A fine question indeed. Mine works flawlessly with Windows 10 and basically the same setup.XP??????? why the hell did you choose XP?
I’m calling this feature ‘ASS’ from now on.Ok, installed Win 10, and a bunch of drivers. Was able to get the ASS to turn off through Forscan. Yes!
Looking at this spreadsheet for the 2018 navigation in motion section, it says you may lose Sirius travel link, health report, and 912 assist.... is this only while using the nav while in motion or lose it for good?? I’m assuming making this change let’s you type stuff in the nav while driving, correct?Or you can go to this Expedition discussion to learn more:
http://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/forscan-tweaks-2015.32082/
And then take a look at our Expedition spreadsheet for some 2018 options:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iO4Uz1shNRwZv5gi2TKARDo2Y7lfSOMFj6Gott8g7yg/edit?usp=sharing
Just select the 2018 tab at the bottom.
If you find any errors, or if you find other codes that work, please let me know and I'll add it to our Expedition spreadsheet. Thanks.
