As many of you know, after your phone pairs with the Expedition and you get out of the expedition, then your cell phone ringer volume is ALWAYS on maximum ringer volume. I see some of you are doing some updates and such, so I wondered if any of these fixed the max phone ringer volume issue?

Its not the cars ringer volume, but the actual cell phone after you exit the vehicle.

Its so annoying that I've disabled my phone from even pairing with my Expedition because of this stupid glitch.

Thanks in advance!

Curious what phone you have, I have not noticed my phone do this? I pretty much keep my phone on silent/vibrate only and have not noticed it being different. I have an android phone. I will have to check with my wife on her iphone x to see if it does this.

I have a Samsung S10 and do not have this problem. Best of luck with this issue and now that I've opened the jinx box, fingers crossed it does not start for me!

Odd, very certain my samsung s7 does not do this. I will have to ask my wife if it does it to her iphone x.

Is this connecting via bluetooth or the cable, or both? I only connect via the cable. I think my wife typically does the cable too.

I wonder if this is an apple issue? On my android phones I can set profiles for the bluetooth connection. So, with my headset it always sets the speaker volume to a certain level everytime it connects. I assume it also has a profile for the car when it connects, I don't think apple stuff has that profile feature but I haven't had an iphone in years.

I haven't noticed it on my iPhone X, probably because I always keep my ringer volume at max level.

I always want my iPhone X on maximum, so I've never noticed if this happens.

This!

Going to test later...

Update: Fixed some typos

I just confirmed it's fixed, or not present in my vehicle, running the latest build of Sync 3.0.19205 with an iPhone X on 12.1.4. I'm not jailbroken but stayed at this iOS just in case I wanted to in the future.

Here's what I did to check. After installing my Autostop Eliminator I exited the vehicle and locked the doors. Went inside for about 5 minutes to make sure the vehicle had time to reset. I wanted to make sure the Autostop Eliminator held its setting. Before going back out I turned my ringer down from max to halfway specifically to test this bug. Hopped back in the vehicle and fired it up. The ASE worked, YEAH! Ok back to the ringer thing... The phone connected to Bluetooth before I plugged it into the CarPlay USB. I decided to head to the grocery store and grab some cold ones. On the way I talked on the phone over CarPlay. Once I arrived at the grocery store I unplugged the USB and turned off the vehicle to go inside. After getting out and locking up my ride I raised my phone, it did its face thing, I swiped up to the home screen and pushed the volume up button. It was still at half volume. Same scenario on the way back home and the volume stayed at halfway while driving and after exiting the vehicle.

Long story short no ringer volume bug in my vehicle on Sync 3.0.19205 with iPhone X.
