NC-Expy, that particular one goes into the hitch, but I have seen others that leave the hitch free and you mount them to the bumper by drilling 2 or 4 holes in the bumper to slide some bolts through. Fabbing something up like that using some tubing would be cake. Probably take me about 2 hours to make something like that, even with the welding involved. I have contemplated something like that on my truck. Granted, I was going to take it one step further and get the kit to remove the rear bumper and then install a rollpan back there, then adapt it a little bit to have this style bar mount where the bumper used to be. Then I was looking to create something up front to match. Didn't quite get that one figured out all the way as it was starting to get into too much fabrication. Worst case, I was just going to slide the bumper back about 3 inches and then shorten the side of the bumper some more to make the wheel well right. Then add a similar "bumper" on front with a push bar built into that.

Walnuts, actually, I could. All I would need to load up is my MIG welder and my tube bender. HOpefully you have everything else (angle grinder, sawzall or hacksaw, and then something to cut 1/8" plate with). Worst case, I guess I could probably load up my 14" cutting saw too. That would solve a lot of these issues.

If you can build me something like that I'd be more than happy to pay you. I want something for the front bumper too. I'd rather have tube bumpers that are welded on as opposed to being drilled into the bumper.

2000eb, what part of AZ? It is possible that I am going to end up in Phoenix later this year for a few days of training. I would have to see when and how long I would be there, but that may be an option. As for a good tube bender, I went to Northern Tool and bought their 12 ton tube bender that will do up to 2.5" tubing. That is all I use. I am not using anything fancy. The big trick with the bender is that the die that you use is the one that appears initially to be just a little too tight for the pipe. If you use the one that the pipe falls into right off the bad, you will kink the tubing every time. TRUST ME. I think I paid like $80 for my tubing bender.
