What width? And how much, if any, left over or wasted?

Hmmm... i think i just managed to con 3M into sending me a free sample of 10 yards of 54" vehicle wrap vinyl.

alas just in white, but I do wonder if it might not be enough to do a practice run on my ol' hooptie, an E36 BMW 328i, or at least roof trunk and hood, which are kinda jacked up atm

it's usually a 60" roll. Out of the 375 sq Ft I started with I probably only have 10 sq Ft left over. A lot of that though is how I did it. a few inches of overlap on every piece really ate up the roll.

Depending on how you do it that could be enough to do that car. Do a lot of measuring before you do though. I really wanted to make sure the same body panel only had 1 piece and wasn't cut any where. the biggest sheet was the rear quarter panel with the gas door. How it goes is all the way to the windshield in the front at the top of the truck. I also recommend taking off the molding if you can. watch the YouTube videos by ckwraps. really helped me.

Not sure I understand....Overlaps arent a highly visible eyesore with the Avery, then? Or are you saying that they *are*, so you wasted a ton of scrap to avoid having any?

I wrapped the fender and doors all separately so I could wrap around the edges of them.

Most of the time, the whole vehicle side is laid out and then the 1 piece of vinyl is cut at the door seams
