So the consensus is, throw in the towel and accept it haha.

Will an aftermarket muffler risk voiding warranty of any particular powertrain item if Ford felt like being sticklers?

That's what I'm planning on installing, 5 Star tells me it sounds good. Would love to hear some feedback from anyone running it on a 4th Gen

I've YET to find a Magnaflow that doesn't droneeeeeeeeeee horrible in the cabin. Most guys call them Magna-drone.....

Yes, that’s what I’d like to avoid. Guess I’ll just accept the quiet sound of the 470ft lb engine.

Anyone heard the either the SPD Performance Downpipe or the magnaflow catback exhaust?

I've been asking for feedback on the SPD downpipes on this site for better part of a year. No one on here has them yet, that can respond to how they sound? Really don't want to go through the headache of putting them in if they don't sound a little better.

SPD doesn't have audio clips? Has anyone asked? They had to have tested the product on a vehicle.

I've heard some clips of them on an F150 so I'd imagine they are pretty similar, but I do know there are a few nuances. Mostly just curious on general feedback, not just sound. Really is it worth it, it's a pain install (when you don't have a lift for sure), and they aren't cheap (not to mention SPD doesn't really seem to do discounts ever).

I can't say that sounds amazing. But for a 3.5L it sounds ok. Notice they never revved it up hi, because the Honda Civic sound would say "peek a boo". lol.

Try Flowmaster 50s or 70s

I can attest to this, I have the magnaflow, and can't stand the drone, pretty disappointed. It literally vibrates my pants among other things.

Any one heard the cgs vs. the magnaflow? Thinking of switching, sad, I had to cut the The factory off after the muffler as there was simply no way to safely get it over the axle and out (The brake lines run right above the frame rail, I darn near destroyed them.). Probably would have been different if I was up on a lift but only on jack stands I didn't have enough room to twist it and the way it needed to be twisted probably.

I love the drone sound.... had single swept side with flowmaster 40... wanted more so I can't use the spare so removed it and had duals installed with 40s and trying to figure out if I can get LOUDER and DEEPER

To each his own but it sounds terrible to me. I came from a Corsa which had insane sound and zero drone, loved it. Especially for long road trips, slower highway acceleration, it's pretty annoying and my bluetooth call recipients can hear it. Not to mention how much worse it is for kids in the back seats. Again, curious if anyone can describe the interior sound of the CGS. I hate to throw away the money but I can't stand this.

Looking at the Magnaflow Install Instructions, picture #1 is stock muffler, picture below step #3 is the new Magnaflow, which looks to be approx. 4" to 6" shorter. Although advertised as "Moderate" sound levels, with the straight-through performance design + eliminating the resonator, I am not surprised you get resonance inside the cab. Is the resonance only at certain speed or RPM's? Did you notice any improvement in acceleration? I only ask because I cant hear my exhaust at any speed or RPM, windows up or down, all I hear is the engine. I was thinking of cutting in a new muffler for a little more sound.
